Chandler Rod & Gun Club is known throughout Arizona for our exciting programs and events.

How fortunate we are to have a tool for teaching ethics, perseverance, patience, self-discipline, problem solving, optimism, concentration, confidence, responsibility, and personal accountability.
While it is unfortunate that the issues of gun control have caused the tools of shooting sports to be at the center of a maelstrom of controversy, the rifles, shotguns, pistols and archery equipment used by the shooting athletes are no different than a bat to a baseball player, a racket to a tennis player, or a javelin to a track and field athlete.
The focus of shooting sports is the ultimate control of mind over body, and, as such, it is one of the least violent of any sports. You do not tackle, check, punch or grab your opponent. Because it is a non-contact sport, it has an unequaled safety record.
Chandler Rod and Gun Club has been a leader in bringing the many disciplines of the shooting sports to all ages! Safety training and introduction to target and silhouette rifle shooting, hunting, target and 3-d target archery, shot gunning is used for trap, skeet and sporting clays as well as bird hunting. These are just some of the areas of opportunity at CRG for all the members of your family. Our instructors are constantly training to make the experience even more beneficial as well as keeping all folks involved as safe as possible. There are opportunities all year long for your family to get involved as a participant, volunteer to help and even receive training to become active as an instructor!
Women, boys and girls all have great opportunities to get involved and enjoy these sports; we even allow the men a chance or two to have some fun! Just Kidding! There are many opportunities for everyone in the family!
Many members also have hunting dogs and love to share the experience of having the nose and legs of these marvelous animals find, point out and retrieve the game birds. All the while, these dogs are showing their pride and joy of getting out and doing what they love to do!
Chandler Rod and Gun Club officers and members have developed and constantly work at bringing partnerships together with other organizations that expand the Chandler Rod and Gun Club member's opportunities. Our own annual events are exciting enough like Mudbug Madness, the Trophy Squirrel Hunt, Fishing Trips but we also provide activities along with them like archery or air gun shooting, so that there is something constructive at each main event for all ages to enjoy.
We are very excited to be expanding our programs to include a structured shooting opportunity for young folks in from the 5th grade through the 12th grade of school. The interest level has been phenomenal; the number of participants as well as adults willing to support the program will certainly make it successful. We are working diligently to organize and produce the program for our members and outreach. Trap, skeet and sporting clays are fun, exciting and healthy for the participants. It will be a positive addition to what Chandler Rod and Gun Club members can enjoy!
Smallbore or light rifle competition and shooting opportunities are some additional examples of what CRG offers! This is a program for most kids who can show they can handle the firearms safely! This is another program just staring, there is plenty of room for volunteers and participants!
